Borthwick Park, located on Thornton Street in Kensington, is a cherished green space featuring two playgrounds suitable for toddlers and older children. The park is home to majestic River Red Gums and has undergone significant revitalization since 2010, thanks to the Borthwick Park Biodiversity Program. This community-led initiative focuses on restoring native habitats through planting, weed eradication, and mulching, enhancing biodiversity and providing a natural setting for both recreation and quiet contemplation. Volunteers gather on the second Sunday of each month from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by morning tea.
