Nestled within Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, the Bonsai House showcases one of Australia's largest publicly owned bonsai collections. The gallery-style display features approximately 80 native and exotic plants, including figs, conifers, camellias, azaleas, and subtropical deciduous species. Some specimens are over 80 years old. The facility, completed in 2022, incorporates sustainable materials like recycled timber and locally sourced stone. Adjacent to the Japanese Garden, the Bonsai House is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, offering free entry and all-abilities access.
