Bombo Beach is a 1.2-kilometre stretch of sand connecting central Kiama with Kiama Downs. Renowned for its consistent surf, the beach features strong rips and sandbars, creating ideal conditions for surfers. The northern end boasts Bombo Headland, home to an off-leash dog area and a dog agility park. Off-leash dogs are also welcome in the central area between sunrise and sunset. A walk around the headland leads to The Boneyard, a rocky coastline with hexagonal basalt columns and Cathedral Rock, offering stunning photography opportunities. Accessible via public transport from Sydney and Wollongong, Bombo Beach is just metres from the train station.
