Perched atop the cliffs of Tasmania's north-western tip, Bluff Point Wind Farm harnesses the Roaring 40s winds to generate approximately 2% of the state's electricity needs. The 37 Vestas V66 turbines, each standing 60 meters tall with 32-meter blades, were commissioned between 2002 and 2004. While public access is currently restricted, Woolnorth Tours offers exclusive year-round visits to the wind farm and the historic Woolnorth dairy property. The Visitors Centre, located at 1665 Woolnorth Road, serves as the starting point for these informative tours.
