
Blackwood Creek is a rural locality situated at the base of the Great Western Tiers in Tasmania's Northern Midlands region. Approximately 31 kilometers southwest of Longford, it encompasses a small community of around 120 residents as of the 2021 census. The area is characterized by its picturesque landscapes and proximity to nearby towns such as Poatina, Liffey, Bracknell, Cressy, and Miena. Historically, Blackwood Creek was home to a Baptist church established in 1879, which later became a community church in 2000.
