Bimberi

Bimberi Nature Reserve, established in 1985, spans 10,868 hectares in the Brindabella Range, approximately 30 km southwest of Canberra. This protected area lies between Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales and Namadgi National Park in the Australian Capital Territory, adjoining Brindabella National Park. The reserve is renowned for its diverse montane and sub-alpine ecosystems, including snow gum woodlands, alpine herbfields, and sphagnum bogs. It provides habitat for species like the endangered smoky mouse and the northern corroboree frog. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, and wildlife observation amidst its pristine natural beauty.
