Big Fig

The Big Fig, a heritage-listed Ficus benjamina, stands proudly at Station Street in Miriam Vale, Queensland. Its expansive canopy, approximately 30 meters east to west and 35 meters north to south, provides ample shade and serves as a notable landmark in the town. Historically, it was a central gathering spot for the community, especially for dairy farmers who would deliver cream and milk cans for transport to Gladstone. Adjacent to the Miriam Vale Railway Station and near the War Memorial Park, the Big Fig continues to be a cherished symbol of the town's rich heritage.
