Biala Wind Farm, situated in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, comprises 31 Goldwind 3.5MW turbines, each standing 180 meters tall. With an installed capacity of approximately 110MW, it generates enough electricity to power around 46,000 homes on an average windy day. The wind farm is 100% owned by BJCE Australia, which also owns the nearby Gullen Range Wind Farm and Gullen Solar Farm. Construction began in August 2019, with the first clean power generated in 2020. Biala Wind Farm is committed to supporting the community through initiatives like the Community Enhancement Fund, contributing approximately $90,000 annually to local projects.
