Established in 1919, it offers a serene retreat just over an hour's drive from Sydney. Visitors can enjoy activities such as camping, picnicking, and mushroom foraging amidst the tranquil surroundings. The forest is also home to Dalys Clearing, a popular camping spot surrounded by exotic pines, accessible via Bunnygalore Road from the Hume Highway. Please note that the forest has experienced ongoing wet weather, leading to periodic closures of recreational vehicle access.
