Balmain Sinfonia is a Sydney-based symphony orchestra dedicated to delivering high-quality orchestral music to the community at affordable prices. Comprised of both amateur and professional musicians, the orchestra performs a diverse repertoire, primarily focusing on classical and romantic periods. Since 2023, they have featured works by Australian composers at most concerts. Under the baton of Conductor and Musical Director Monica Buckland, who joined in 2020 after a distinguished career in Europe, the orchestra rehearses on Sunday nights in Balmain and performs four times a year. Upcoming concerts include "Heartlands" on August 2, 2025, "Four Rivers" on September 27, 2025, and "Parisian Fantasies" on November 29, 2025, all at 5:00 PM. Tickets are available for purchase online.
