Ballarat U3A

U3A Ballarat is a vibrant learning cooperative dedicated to promoting healthy ageing through educational, creative, and leisure activities for older adults. With a membership exceeding 900, it offers over 100 courses led by volunteer tutors, fostering a strong sense of community and lifelong learning. Classes are held at various locations around Ballarat, including the Ballarat North Community Centre, and cover a diverse range of subjects. The organization also hosts special interest groups, such as the Bushwalkers U3A Ballarat, which organizes regular hikes and outdoor activities. Additionally, the Blake Gordon Manual Arts Workshop provides facilities for classes in woodwork, metalwork, jewellery making, mosaics, lino printmaking, felting, and lead-lighting. U3A Ballarat's commitment to self-help and mutual support underpins its mission to enrich the lives of retirees and semi-retirees in the region.
