
Avenue Range, formerly known as Downer, is a rural locality in South Australia's Limestone Coast region, approximately 265 kilometers southeast of Adelaide. Established on 3 December 1998, it encompasses an area of about 316.6 square kilometers. The area is predominantly agricultural, with land used exclusively for farming. Notably, the Cairnbank Homestead and Shearing Shed, listed on the South Australian Heritage Register, is located here. The population was 109 in 2016, reflecting a significant decline from 978 in 2011.
