The Australian Lure Fly & Outdoors Expo, held annually at the Fernvale Showgrounds in Queensland, celebrates Australian-made lures, lure making, and fly tying. The 2025 event is scheduled for July 5 and 6, featuring a diverse range of exhibitors showcasing timber, plastic, and metal lures, as well as wet and dry flies. Attendees can participate in live demonstrations, including lure making, fly tying, fly casting, and knife forging. Additional attractions encompass the Shimano Stage Tank, where live Barramundi interact with various lures, and the Lure of the Year Awards, highlighting top Australian lure makers. The expo also offers opportunities for buying, swapping, and selling lures, as well as having vintage or unknown lures identified and valued by collectors. Entry fees are $15 for adults, with children under 16 admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Parking is available with a gold coin donation to the SES.
