
305 Squadron, known as the City of Northern Beaches Squadron, is part of the Australian Air Force Cadets, offering young Australians aged 13 to 18 a unique opportunity to experience aspects of the Air Force. Cadets engage in weekly training sessions every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:45 PM at the Dee Why Multi-User Depot, located at 40 South Creek Road, Dee Why, NSW 2097. The squadron's activities include visits to Air Force bases, camping, field training, pilot experience weekends, safe firearm shooting, and participation in community and ceremonial events. Established in 1951, 305 Squadron has a rich history and a strong presence in the Northern Beaches community. The squadron's motto, "quinta fuerit primma," translates to "the fifth shall certainly be first," reflecting its aspiration to lead among equals.
