The Athenium Theatre, built in 1929, is a heritage-listed venue located at 89 Broadway Street, Junee, NSW 2663. Designed by Kaberry and Chard, it stands as one of the few remaining theatres in New South Wales with its original decorative interior and theatrical exterior. The theatre offers a versatile event space, featuring a modern audio-visual setup, a commercial kitchen, and an outdoor function area. It can accommodate up to 460 guests, with 312 on the auditorium floor, an additional 130 in the upstairs Dress Circle, and 30 on stage. In October 2023, the venue received over $1.5 million in funding through the NSW Government Creative Capital program, enabling major upgrades to the stage area, kitchenette, and sound and lighting systems, enhancing its status as a premier venue within the Riverina.
