Nestled in the northwest corner of Ashfield Park, behind the Ashfield Bowling Club near Orpington Street, the Ashfield Park Community Garden offers a vibrant communal space for local residents. Established in March 2015, the garden features a U-shaped raised bed, four surrounding beds, and two large round beds, all cultivated using chemical-free methods. Members engage in working bees on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of each month from 9 am to 11 am, collaboratively tending to herbs, vegetables, fruits, and edible flowers. The harvest is shared among participants, fostering community spirit and sustainable practices.
