The Arthur Gietzelt Memorial Lookout, located at 1A Atkinson Road, Taren Point, NSW 2229, is a tribute to the late Hon. Arthur Thomas Gietzelt AO, a former Shire President and Sutherland Shire Councillor. Gietzelt was instrumental in preserving Towra Point's natural habitat and preventing the construction of a second airport in the 1960s. The lookout offers scenic views of Woolooware Bay and serves as a peaceful spot for reflection and appreciation of the area's natural beauty. The naming of the lookout was officially recognized in July 2021.
