Nestled in Rockhampton's historic Archer Park Railway Station, the Archer Park Rail Museum showcases the region's rich rail heritage. Visitors can explore a restored Purrey Steam Tram, a unique relic from 1909, and experience lifelike mannequins and digital soundscapes that recreate the ambiance of the 1930s. The museum offers wheelchair accessibility, a tea room, and ample parking, including for buses. Merchandise, light refreshments, soft drinks, and water are available for purchase. Operating hours are Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm; closed on public holidays. Tram rides are available on Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm, excluding public holidays. Admission fees are $10 for adults, $7 for concessions, $6 for children (3-14 years, must be accompanied by an adult), and $30 for a family (2 adults and 2 children, with additional children at $4.50 each). Please note, dogs are not permitted on tram operational days, except for assistance dogs, which are not allowed to board the tram for safety reasons.
