Amherst Village Community Centre

Located at 2 Holmes Street in Southern River, the Amherst Village Community Centre offers versatile spaces for community activities and private events. The main hall, approximately 315 square meters, accommodates up to 240 guests and features timber-look vinyl flooring, a PA system, and a fully equipped kitchen with a 900mm domestic stove, commercial dishwasher, double-door fridge and freezer, inverter microwave, convection microwave, and wall-mounted urn. Two meeting rooms, each about 50 square meters, are suitable for smaller gatherings and include a whiteboard and filtered water unit. The centre also houses the Amherst Village Library, which offers a meeting room for up to 20 people, equipped with air conditioning, chairs, tables, a sink with filtered water, a dishwasher, and a whiteboard. The library hosts programs like LEGO® Club and Story Time, fostering community engagement. For those interested in fitness, line dancing classes are available on Tuesdays. The centre provides ample parking and is accessible to all community members.
