Nestled in Altona's Logan Reserve, the Altona Homestead offers a glimpse into the area's rich history. Built in the mid-1840s by Alfred and Sarah Langhorne, it was the first homestead on Port Phillip Bay's foreshore. The homestead showcases artifacts and photographs reflecting daily life from the 1840s to the mid-1900s. Managed by the Altona Laverton Historical Society, it hosts themed displays and serves traditional Devonshire Tea on the first Sunday of each month. Visitors can also enjoy ghost tours, adding a unique experience to their visit.
