Alphington Community Centre, located at 2 Kelvin Road, Alphington, VIC 3078, is a vibrant hub offering a diverse range of programs and services to the local community. Open weekdays from 9 am to 9 pm, the centre hosts playgroups and activities for young families in the mornings, transitioning to programs for older community members in the afternoons and evenings, including meals, art and craft groups, counselling, choir, ukulele, and book clubs. On weekends, it serves as a venue for children's birthday parties and hosts creative workshops and community events. The centre also features play spaces, community tables, herb gardens, a book library, a seed library, a table tennis table, and a mini golf green. Approximately 25 volunteers contribute weekly, assisting with programs, maintaining outdoor spaces, and supporting events. Collaborations with around 20 community organizations, such as Darebin Libraries and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, enhance the centre's offerings.
