Established in 1881, the Adelaide University Boat Club (AUBC) is one of Australia's oldest rowing clubs, fostering athletic development across all ages and abilities. The club operates from two facilities: a two-storey boat shed and function space on War Memorial Drive in North Adelaide, and a boat shed at West Lakes. The War Memorial Drive location, known as the Barr Smith Boat Shed, has been a hub for rowing excellence for over 130 years, offering boat storage, gym facilities, and a function room. AUBC has a rich history of success, including winning all four Rowing SA titles in the 2022/2023 season, a first since 1894. The club also excels in hosting functions, providing a unique venue with air conditioning, kitchen and bar facilities, and a large sound system, accommodating up to 180 guests standing or 150 seated.
