Established in 1964, 1st Narellan Scout Group offers a vibrant Scouting experience for young people aged 5 to 17 in Narellan and surrounding areas. The group comprises four age-specific sections: Joey Scouts (5-8 years), Cub Scouts (8-11 years), Scouts (11-14 years), and Venturer Scouts (14-17 years). Each section meets during school terms at the Scout hall located at the corner of Queen and Elyard streets, Narellan. The Venturer Scouts also gather at the Razorback Rover Den in Elderslie. The program focuses on developing leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills through a diverse range of activities, including bushwalking, camping, swimming, canoeing, and indoor rock climbing. Community involvement is encouraged through participation in local events such as ANZAC Day and the Camden Show. Volunteer leaders provide guidance and mentorship, fostering an environment where young people can thrive and gain valuable experiences. Parents and carers are invited to bring their children along to meet the unit and try out Scouting during a free trial period of up to four weeks.
