Established in 1908, 1st Leichhardt Scout Group is one of Australia's oldest registered Scout groups, meeting at their historic Scout Hall on Balmain Road since 1923. The group offers four youth sections: Joeys (6-7 years), Cubs (8-11 years), Scouts (10½-15 years), and Venturers (14½-18 years), each engaging in activities that foster teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. Youth members hail from Leichhardt and surrounding suburbs, including Lilyfield, Annandale, and Glebe. The group is run by dedicated volunteers, primarily scouting parents, and is part of the West Sydney District, interacting with neighboring Scout groups such as 1st Haberfield, 1st Balmain, and Drummoyne.
