1st Highton Scout Hall

The 1st Highton Scout Hall, located at 43 Barrabool Road, Highton VIC 3216, serves as a vibrant hub for the local Scout Group. This active and successful group offers a range of programs for youth members, including Joey Scouts (ages 5-7), Cub Scouts (ages 8-10), Scouts (ages 11-14), and Venturers (ages 15-17). Participants engage in a variety of outdoor activities, from traditional skills like camping and bushcraft to more adventurous pursuits such as abseiling, hiking, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, snow activities, rock climbing, sailing, and even flying. The group also emphasizes performing arts, leadership development, community service, environmental projects, and large-scale Australian events like Cuborees, Jamborees, and Ventures. Additionally, Scouts learn valuable practical skills such as first aid and cooking, along with fun skills like building a ballista and firing wet sponges at their mates.
