Youngtown Barracks, located on Youngtown Avenue in Launceston, Tasmania, serves as a key facility for the Australian Defence Force. It houses A Company of the 12th/40th Battalion, Royal Tasmania Regiment, and the 67 Regional Cadet Unit, Army Cadet Unit. In 2017, the Australian Defence Department announced plans to relocate units from the nearby Paterson Barracks to Youngtown Barracks, enhancing its role in the region. The barracks is situated approximately 6 kilometers southeast of Launceston's city center, in the suburb of Youngtown.
