
Established in 1923, Woodford Rural Fire Brigade is a dedicated volunteer organization committed to safeguarding the Blue Mountains community. Operating from their station at 2 Park Road, Woodford, the brigade comprises 125 members who respond to bushfires, motor vehicle accidents, search operations, and assist the NSW SES with storm damage. The brigade's history is rich, having celebrated its 100th anniversary in April 2023, recognizing the dedication and service of its members. Training sessions are held every Wednesday at 7pm and Sunday at 9am, with general meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm.
