Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade, established in 1963 as North Springwood Bush Fire Brigade, is a dedicated volunteer unit serving the Blue Mountains community. With approximately 50 active members and a reserve of 150, the brigade boasts over 2,200 years of combined firefighting experience. Operating from two stations—502A Hawkesbury Road, Winmalee, and 234A Singles Ridge Road, Yellow Rock—the brigade is equipped with two Category 1 Tankers, an Urban Pumper, and a Personnel Carrier. Training sessions are held every Tuesday at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 1:30 pm, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
