The community operates under the endorsed Wijilawarrim Layout Plan No.1, which aligns with State Planning Policy 3.2 for Aboriginal Settlements. Notably, Wijilawarrim has a low crime rate, with no reported crimes per 1,000 people, indicating a safe environment for residents and visitors.
