Western Lookout

Western Lookout in Stirling Range National Park offers panoramic views of Mondurup Peak's slopes, showcasing the impact of Phytophthora dieback on the local vegetation. This disease, caused by a microscopic water mould, threatens the park's rich plant life and wildlife habitats. Visitors are encouraged to help prevent its spread by cleaning mud and soil from footwear and vehicle tyres before entering and leaving national parks in WA's south-west. The area provides a unique opportunity to observe the effects of this environmental challenge firsthand.
