Wedding Cake Rock is a striking white sandstone formation along the Coast Track in Sydney's Royal National Park. Approximately a one-hour walk south of Bundeena, this unique rock resembles a slice of cake perched above the ocean. The white color results from iron leaching, making the sandstone layers soft and prone to collapse. For safety, a fence surrounds the rock, and visitors are advised to stay behind it. The challenging track offers coastal heathland views, spring wildflowers, and opportunities for whale watching. The return journey to Bundeena takes about an hour.
