Established in 1884, the Wangaratta Rifle Club is a historic shooting venue near Glenrowan, Victoria. The club operates a fullbore rifle range featuring 12 targets, including three modern electronic ones, accommodating distances from 300 to 700 yards. It hosts the renowned Easter weekend Prize Meet, attracting over 80 shooters on Saturday and more than 60 on Sunday. The club supports disciplines such as Target Rifle and F-Class, with subcategories including F-Standard, F-Open, and F-Target Rifle. Regular shooting sessions are held on Saturdays at 12 p.m., with practice and sighting-in available on Wednesdays by appointment. Visitors are welcome to attend Saturday shoots, with equipment provided for those new to the sport. First-time visitors can enjoy a complimentary range fee, paying only for ammunition used. Please note, if the forecast temperature is 36°C or higher, shooting will commence at 9 a.m., and shooting will not take place on declared total fire ban days.
