Tungamah CFA, located at 26 Boyd Street in Tungamah, Victoria, is a dedicated volunteer fire brigade serving the local community. In April 2021, the brigade, in collaboration with Landcare, conducted a successful planned burn at Three Chain Road, reintroducing fire to one of the region's native grassland remnants. This operation reduced fuel loads and lowered the Overall Fuel Hazard rating to low. The Tungamah Group, Tungamah Brigade, and St James Brigade were commended for their professionalism during the burn.
