Thamarrurr Development Corporation Ltd (TDC) is a not-for-profit entity owned by the Wangka, Lirrga, and Tjanpa peoples, representing 20 clan groups in the Thamarrurr Region. Established in 2008, TDC focuses on economic independence and reducing reliance on welfare. Employing over 120 staff, with more than half being local Indigenous people, TDC offers services including construction and maintenance, short-term accommodation, a service station, land and sea management through the Thamarrurr Rangers, and the Community Development Program supporting over 800 jobseekers. Additionally, TDC provides aged care services, NDIS support, and operates the Wadeye Men's Shed to enhance community well-being.
