The Super Pit, officially known as the Fimiston Open Pit, is Australia's largest open-pit gold mine, located on the southeastern edge of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, approximately 600 kilometers east of Perth, Western Australia. Spanning 3.5 kilometers in length, 1.5 kilometers in width, and over 600 meters in depth, it is a significant contributor to the region's economy and mining heritage. Operated by Northern Star Resources, the mine has produced more than 65 million ounces of gold over 130 years. Visitors can view the mine from the Super Pit Lookout, open daily from 7 am to 7 pm.
