The Singleton Military Area, located in New South Wales, serves as a primary training ground for Australian infantry soldiers, offering comprehensive initial employment training. Access is granted through the Town Gate off Army Camp Road, Whittingham, during designated visiting hours. Visitors can utilize taxi services with drivers holding a valid Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) from Taxico, or disembark at the bus shelter at the access control point. On-base pickup and drop-off points include the Officer and Sergeant car park, Health Centre, and Currey Club. The base operates under specific road rules, with a speed limit of 40 km/h throughout, reducing to 20 km/h when overtaking military personnel during physical training sessions conducted from 6 am to 9 am, predominantly around Hamilton VC Drive. Emergency procedures are communicated via sirens, each with distinct tones and voice commands, guiding personnel on appropriate actions such as alertness, evacuation, lockdown, or resuming normal activities.
