The Singleton Military Area, located at 358 Range Rd, Whittingham NSW 2331, encompasses the Lone Pine Barracks and the Singleton Training Area. The Lone Pine Barracks, situated 8 km south of Singleton, serves as the base for the Australian Army School of Infantry, Defence Support Group Singleton, and other regular support services. The Royal Australian Infantry Corps Museum, dedicated to the history and traditions of the Infantry Corps, is also housed within the barracks. The Singleton Training Area, adjacent to the barracks, is utilized for various military training exercises, including live-fire activities and demolition training. The area has recently undergone a $42 million overhaul to enhance facilities for over 1,000 Defence and civilian personnel, ensuring continued support for Defence capabilities.
