RAAF Base Tindal, situated 15 kilometers southeast of Katherine in the Northern Territory, serves as a pivotal operational hub for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Established in 1942 and officially opened on 31 March 1989, the base is home to No. 75 Squadron, which operates F-35A Lightning II aircraft. The base also hosts No. 17 Squadron, No. 2 Squadron Detachment, 452 Squadron Tindal Flight, and NORFORCE.
