Mourilyan Harbour, QLD

Established in October 1973, QF15 Innisfail Coast Guard has been dedicated to ensuring maritime safety in the Innisfail region for over five decades. Operating from Mourilyan Harbour, the flotilla's area of responsibility spans approximately 1,500 square kilometers, extending from Mission Beach's Clump Point in the south to the Mulgrave River in the north. The team comprises 16 volunteers who undergo comprehensive training to provide marine search and rescue services. In May 2024, the flotilla hosted an open day to engage the community and encourage new volunteers. Their commitment to public education includes conducting courses in marine radio licensing, navigation, and safety awareness. QF15 Innisfail Coast Guard continues to uphold its mission of "Safety by all means," ensuring the well-being of the boating community in Far North Queensland.
