Porongurup National Park

Porongurup National Park, located in Western Australia's Great Southern region, is renowned for its ancient granite peaks, lush karri forests, and diverse flora and fauna. The park's centerpiece, Castle Rock, features the Granite Skywalk—a suspended walkway offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can explore various walking trails, including the 1-kilometer Walitj Meil Walk, which provides scenic vistas of the Stirling Ranges. The park is also home to over 700 native plant species and abundant birdlife, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Facilities include picnic areas, barbecues, and toilets, ensuring a comfortable visit. The Porongurup Scenic Drive offers a 23-kilometer route around the range, showcasing impressive views of the granite outcrops and surrounding forests. Recognizing the Menang people as the Traditional Owners, the park holds significant cultural and spiritual importance.
