Pormpuraaw Police Station, located at 3 Wirran Street, Pormpuraaw, QLD 4871, serves the remote coastal community of Pormpuraaw on Cape York Peninsula. Officially opened on December 14, 2021, the station extends policing capabilities in the region, covering areas from the Coleman River in the south to the Kendall River in the north, bordered by the Gulf of Carpentaria coastline to the east and the Coen divisional boundary to the west. The station is staffed by four sworn officers, a Police Liaison Officer, and equipped with two vehicles, ensuring a strong police presence and efficient service delivery to the local community.
