Pormpur Paanthu Aboriginal Corporation

Established in 1991, Pormpur Paanthu Aboriginal Corporation is a community-controlled organization dedicated to enhancing the social and emotional well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in Pormpuraaw. The organization offers a comprehensive range of services, including domestic violence and substance abuse education, counseling, advocacy, and support for families. Additional programs encompass social and emotional well-being services, family well-being initiatives, men's and women's group activities, youth programs, child care services, and a women's shelter operating year-round. Pormpur Paanthu's holistic approach integrates social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, empowering community members to address challenges and set personal goals.
