Established in 1945, the Peterborough Country Fire Service (CFS) station is a dedicated volunteer unit committed to safeguarding the Peterborough community and surrounding areas. Operating from 41 Kitchener Street, the station is part of the Flinders CFS Fire District, with the Fire Danger Season running from October 16, 2023, to April 15, 2024. The station is equipped with two 4WD, 3000L Light Pumpers, each featuring road crash rescue capabilities and automated external defibrillators. Training sessions are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm, welcoming new volunteers to join their ranks.
