Peppimenarti

Peppimenarti is a vibrant community in the Northern Territory, established in 1972 by Aboriginal people from Daly River. Known for its rich Aboriginal culture, the area hosts regular ceremonies and offers organized tours where visitors can experience traditional weaving, bush tucker, and local art. Recreational activities include fishing in the Moyle and Little Moyle River Systems, bush walking, and occasional swimming. The community is accessible via Wadeye or Daly River, though it becomes isolated during the wet season due to flooding. Peppimenarti is renowned for its scenic beauty, featuring floodplains, wildlife, escarpment country, waterfalls, and indigenous cultural ceremonies.
