Nestled along the creek in Richmond Range National Park, Peacock Creek campground offers a sunny, well-grassed area ideal for camper trailers, caravans, and large tents. It's especially popular with families and tourists in spring, as the warmer weather brings an abundance of wildlife seeking shelter in the creek's cool flow. Birdwatchers can spot species like fairy-wrens, green catbirds, and grey shrike-thrushes among the towering Sydney blue gums and native vines. The campground features picnic tables, wood barbecues (BYO firewood), and non-flush toilets. Please note, water is not available, so bring your own drinking and cooking water. Generators are permitted in designated areas, and pets are not allowed. Access is via unsealed roads; 2WD vehicles can reach the campground in dry weather, while 4WD vehicles are recommended during wet conditions. For more information, refer to the visitor info page.
