Surrounded by semi-formal gardens featuring both native and exotic species, the homestead offers picturesque picnic spots and scenic walking tracks. These trails wind through bush and farm landscapes, past Kurrajong trees, wetland areas, and the East Gippsland Indigenous Plant Garden. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including honeyeaters, black swans, pelicans, and birds of prey. Visitors can explore the Whistling Kite Track, Homestead Track, Cliff Top Walk, Kurrajong Track, and Salt Marsh Track, each offering unique views and experiences. The homestead also houses displays detailing its history and the natural resources of the Gippsland Lakes. Managed by Parks Victoria, the park is open daily from 8:30 am until sunset, with the homestead typically open from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays and 10:30 am to 3:00 pm on weekends.
