Nestled in Wollemi National Park, Newnes Campground offers a serene riverside setting surrounded by dramatic sandstone cliffs and towering eucalypt trees. Accessible only by a 10-kilometer walk from Glen Davis via the Pipeline Track, this remote campground is ideal for self-sufficient campers seeking adventure. Facilities include non-flush toilets and wood barbecues; however, visitors must bring their own drinking water, cooking water, firewood, and food supplies. The area also features historic shale oil ruins, walking tracks, and opportunities for swimming in the Wolgan River. Camping is free, with a $6 booking fee applicable.
