Established in 2000, the memorial features a 600-meter winding path representing the Rainbow Serpent, adorned with seven granite boulders bearing plaques in English and Wirrayaraay, illustrating the massacre's story. At the path's end, a 14-tonne granite boulder stands as a tribute to the victims. The site serves as a significant place of reconciliation and education, hosting annual commemorations that draw visitors nationwide.
