
The Myall Creek Memorial Site, located on Whitlow Road in Myall Creek, NSW, commemorates the 1838 massacre of approximately 30 Wirrayaraay people. Established in 2000, the memorial features a 600-meter winding path representing the Rainbow Serpent, adorned with seven granite boulders bearing plaques in English and Wirrayaraay, illustrating the massacre's story. At the path's end, a 14-tonne granite boulder stands as a tribute to the victims. The site serves as a significant place of reconciliation and education, hosting annual commemorations that draw visitors nationwide.
