Established in 2000, the memorial features a 600-meter winding path through native woodland, marked by seven granite boulders with plaques in English and Gamilaroi, illustrating the massacre's history. The main memorial, a 14-tonne granite boulder, stands on a rise overlooking the massacre site. This site serves as a significant place of reconciliation and education, attracting visitors nationwide.
