Located within Mungo National Park, the Mungo Visitor Centre serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the World Heritage-listed area. Visitors can view informative displays and obtain park brochures before embarking on guided tours, such as the Mungo Walk the Walls of China and Willandra Lakes tours. The centre offers insights into the region's Aboriginal cultural heritage, archaeological findings, megafauna, the once-full Lake Mungo, and unique landscapes. Amenities include picnic and barbecue facilities, flush toilets, and hot showers. Adjacent to the centre are the historic Mungo Woolshed and Mungo Shearers' Quarters, and it's also the starting point for the Foreshore walk.
